Recording – geographical area

I travel all over the country for my job, can I keep notes on everything I see and enter these?
No, you need to restrict your records to a 10km (6-mile) radius of the address given in your details. You are welcome to record at more than one site but need to create a separate form for each, giving the appropriate location details.

I don’t go out very much, do I have to observe throughout the 10km square in which I am located?
No, you can record just by looking out of your window, in your garden, your school grounds or local park or just along your journey to work (ensuring you keep to the 10km (6-mile) radius from your address).

I live in an area that is more than 100m above sea level. I would love to record but one of your forms I've seen suggests you don’t want my observations?
Yes, we do. This was our fault for not being clear. We ask that you try and confine yourself to an area that doesn’t.

I live in a very high area and some of my events happen after your cut off date. Do you want these records?
Yes, please email them to us (giving your details, your location, etc) and we will enter them as historic records. Only events that fall within the current recording period can be entered directly into recording forms by online recorders.
