Recording - timing

I think swallows arrived a couple of weeks ago. Should I record this?
Please only enter observations if you are confident that they are accurate.
 
My lawn has needed a cut for a while now but I haven’t been able to get onto it because its too wet, what should I do?
Just record when you did manage to make your first cut.
 
Is it alright just to say ‘late April’ or ‘early June’?
No. We must have the dates entered as day, month and year, for example 01/05/2002 (the day and month must always be two figures, the year four). Our database will only accept records entered in this way and in order to be of use in a wider analysis each record must contain a specific date.
