Sunday 27 January  11am  Commemorative service at St Margaret's Church, Stratton Strawless, Norfolk

A special service in St Margaret's church, Stratton Strawless, NR10 5LN, to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Robert Marsham FRS, with an address by Bishop Tony Foottit, the Environmental Representative for the Diocese.

Coffee and refreshments afterwards, plus an optional walk to see the giant cedar planted by Robert Marsham in 1747.

Saturday 19 April  11.30am  Robert Marsham Exhibition, St Margaret's Church, Stratton Strawless 
 
The Robert Marsham Tricentenary exhibition will be officially opened by BBC Look East weather presenter, Julie Reinger. Dr Tim Sparks from the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology will give a short talk to launch his book on the life of Robert Marsham.
Open to all, refreshments available.
 
Saturday 7 June  All day  Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists Society Meeting, St Margaret's Church, Stratton Strawless

An all-day meeting - a series of talks and discussions on topics associated with phenology, with Dr Tim Sparks CEH. Open to non-members. Price for the whole day £8, including lunch, coffee, tea etc.

Sunday 22 June  1pm  Commemorative Robert Marsham lunch at Powells, Stratton Strawless
 
A commemorative Country Garden Lunch at "Powells", a lovely house and garden as seen on TV and to be featured in Country Living magazine.

After lunch there will be an optional walk to the Great Cedar Tree, planted by Robert Marsham in 1747.

There is also a candlelit Evensong at 6pm in St Margaret's Church.

Sunday 27 July  2pm  Lecture by Dr Tim Sparks, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, St Margaret's Church, Stratton Strawless

'Mad about Trees - a Talk on the Life and Legacy of Robert Marsham 1708 - 1797', followed by a optional guided walk to see the giant cedar planted by Robert Marsham in 1747, which now looms 102 feet high.
