The specks are eggs – often 5000 are laid at once

Ponds, ditches and slow moving streams

You can help scientists monitor the effect of climate change on frogs by telling us the dates when frogspawn appears where you live.

  • Usually appears in February / March although look out for early spawn
     
  • Tadpoles begin to emerge after about one month
