Is spring late where you live? Take a walk in the woods and see what you can find to record

all winter

As our climate changes some events are being observed all winter.

  • Birds such as the blackcap and the chiffchaff are increasingly overwintering in southern counties.

  • Some song thrushes are heard singing during the winter, particularly in areas where there is street lighting.

If you make this type of observation, instead of a 'first recorded' date please tick the 'recorded all winter' box.
